What type of music is venetian snares

When you leave home, what do you miss the most? Sometimes I wonder if they are sad, and it gets me kind of down thinking about that. Did you formally study music theory? It taught me to make very little go a very long way. Limitation can be a real blessing, especially for someone just starting out; learn to make the most of everything! I just have a wider palette to draw from, depending what the music is asking of me. What inspired you to dive into polyrhythms and unusual time signatures?

Does that reflect your personality in some way? Hmm, maybe it does. I meet a lot of people that say they thought I was supposed to be some kind of wild man. How many cats were involved in the production of your album, Songs About My Cats? What were their names? Sadly, Kakarookee is the only one still with us.

I have really fond memories of making that music! How has your work ethic changed over the years? I think I still make the same amount of music, I just barely show it to anyone anymore. In the early days, I would release so much music—it was really fun for me. Now, I keep most of it to myself. I am still that guy that will hide out for months in my studio, out of touch with the world.

How has your party ethic changed over the years? Oh, wow. Anything creative. Most people have their own unique voice. It could be that someone stumbled on a situation and it really affected them, then maybe they wrote a story or did a painting or something. No, no, no. Some people thought that was quite ironic given that you ended up asking your fans for financial help later in the year. Did you have any regrets about that interview at all? You have no idea how many musicians thanked me for saying that shit.

Traditional Synthesizer Music is out now on Timesig. Aaron funk is a master and a continuing source of impossibly intricate and original ideas. Very few electronic artists and artists in general can even touch his dedication to making such emotionally beautiful and rhythmically impossible musical ideas. Songs that can bring you to tears or split your fucking brain apart, People like v snares and afx are the reason that I became interested in electronic music around the year , and it is pretty much all I have done with my self since then.

To be able to find my own creative voice by evolving the western sonic pallet instead of just regurgitating the same bullshit over and over again. Anyone from the media who says Aaron Funk is an asshole or tries to spin what he says for some cheap publicity tabloid bullshit should get fucked to death by a frozen dogshit dildo.

Find out how. Facebook Twitter WhatsApp. Attack: OK, so the typical way to start this conversation would be for me to be very patronising and try to sum up your new album in ten words for a nice neat intro… Venetian Snares: [Laughing] Yeah, right!

Oh, fuck that , man! Are you pretty hands-on with building and modifying hardware in general? I find that fun. Comments Big ups Mr. A Funk. Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
