Size 23, members serve as full-time soldiers in the Regular Force 19, are part-time, volunteer soldiers in the Reserve Force including 5, Rangers who serve in sparsely settled northern, coastal and isolated areas of Canada 3, civilian employees who support the Army 63 Regular Force and Reserve Force Units in Communities Ranger Patrols in Communities. The army includes many different trades such as infantry, armour, artillery, combat engineer and signals.
Each division includes regular and reserve units. All except 5th Division include a mechanized brigade group. About 5, Canadian Rangers, many of whom are Indigenous , live in more than remote, isolated and coastal communities.
